  • Perhaps Bush said, "Roll over doggie or else I'll give you to Dick Cheney for a lesson in waterboarding!"

  • I did a little research and found the original AP caption that accompanied this photo:

"President Bush drops, kicks his lapdog "Constitution," as is his right."

  • YEah, I think this was dropping the dog, but I just love the shock and horror on the middle of America photo op softball girls.

  • My vote is for:

"Stand back kids - ah think this is a terrierist."

  • This really shouldn't be the picture of the day, well at least no t this day. The incident took place over two years ago.

Here is one link on the matter:

  • Welcome, Canicus. Thanks for coming by, and thatnks for the link on what really happened here.

    As a quick explanation.

The picture of the day isn't really about today's news, although alot of the time it is.

I'm not trying to cover news with these, they are just photos I run across that I find interesting, or powerful, or telling, or moving for one reason or another.

Yesterday, for some reason, this one caught my eye. Perhaps it was some subconscious reflection of how I think Bush's "fresh start" agenda is gonna go over, or maybe it's a reflection of the past year.

Or maybe, I just liked the horrified look on the all american photo op girls.

    Thanks again,

    Mike

  • Makes me think of that scene in 'Napoleon Dynamite' where the guy shoots the cow as the schoolbus is passing by!
