A lot of the National Guard troopers in Iraq are green. They signed up for weekend duty and college tuition. But the war needs cannon fodder. Way too green for street to street combat.

That is pretty damn clever.
I never would've made that "green" connection in referring to all the guardsmen who have served in Iraq, but you're totally right.
