  • I know it's unsubtle, but if the indictment comes I thought people would like having this for their own blogs.

  • Zen, Sorry, I do still believe Karl Rove will be indicted. In my head I was thinking "If thw indictment comes today."

I didn't intend to burn you, it was just sloppy language.

  • I don't feel burned by you. I think you have a very good post up above (more recent) that addresses the distraction issue and who stands to benefit from it.

So we'll keep our heads up and trudge on anxiously awaiting the inevitable.

  • I really do feel it's inevitable, if it hasn't already happened. It's my opinion that Fitzgerald is still in the early stages of the investigation believe it or not which involves straightening out the coverup before he goes after the underlying crime.

And, he has implied in numerous filings that he believes Plame was undercover as well as other tea leaves that point to the investigation continuing beyond Rove.

The Rove indictment is a necessary step in the process because if he's going to prove the outing of Plame, he has to demonstrably prove that the cover stories are false and the best way to do that is to indict them for perjury.
