Dear God

Dana Milbank lights them up on the gay marriage debate in the House yesterday. Best quote in the second to last paragraph:
Gingrey, the floor leader/gynecologist, posited that the debate was "about values and how this great country represents them to the world." After the vote, he elaborated: "This is probably the best message we can give to the Middle East in regards to the trouble we are having over there right now."

  • I'll respond here. I don't see WWIII unless there's a significant act by one side or the other. Syria and Iran seem content to sit it out at the current stage, and this far the Israelis have shown no intention of expanding the violence beyond Lebanon.

So, unless there's a significant event to shift the momentum, a mass casualty event or bombing of a school or hospital or an intervention by another party, I really think this thing will be contained.

That's just an opinion and open to change.
