  • All that booze! Where are our soldiers when they really need to defend something?

  • "First, they came for the pilzner, but I did not drink pilzner, so I did nothing..."

Sick, I know, but the world has warped my brain today. Sorry.

  • Alcohol is taboo, but opium is no big deal.

And if that's their idea of a park, no wonder they need to get high.

  • Abi that keeps crossing my mind, too.

The Taleban is working with the opium lords while trying to burn beer.

  • Wow, I was going to say "priorities people" in response to the police spending their time with beer when there are security issues that seem a bit more pressing.

I didn't even think about the opium. So, seriously... Priorities people!!!

  • You can't sell alcohol to fund a holy war. As long as Americans are willing to open their veins to Afghan opium, there will be a problem.

Not that I ever advocate violence, but why aren't we napalming these fields?

  • I was under the impression the Taliban were cracking (hehe) down on opium, and that when the US invaded in 2001 (or something?), the farmes went back at sowing poppy.

I was also under the impression that Europe was the main consumer of their fine products™.

Besides, you can't drink in such hot weather, you're drunk for three consecutive days. At least that's what my father learned in Iraq in early 80s. And you can't fight infidels intoxicated.
