  • I support the idea, and I'm strongly antiwar, but I'm actually not a "get them out right now" guy. I believe in about a six month to a year hard timetable phased withdrawal leaving one or two very small bases out away from the Iraqi population for quick reaction strike force operations available for a year or so after withdrawal, and then that final group comes home. It's kind of a modified Murtha plan.

    This was written about six months ago, but it still generally reflects my thoughts.

    It's not get them out immediately, but it's get them out in the fastest practicable manner. If that meets your criteria, I'd be happy to chip in.

    Also, my big July fourth post was going to be on the preeminence of the Constitution as the founding structural document, but I can certainly do two.
