  • If I remember right, Karradah is a wealthy Shia neighborhood, with the SCIRI headquarters and several top Shia politician's residences.

    So, I would guess a Sunni group. Also, the Sunnis have been the primary users of car bombs, although, certainly, that is not exclusive.
