Israel plans and drills for an attack on IIran
I don't think it's particularly surprising that the Israelis would be planning an attack on Iran's nuclear facilities. Not having such a plan updated and in place would be irresponsible, but, the threat to use nuclear weapons will resound around the Middle East.
Also: Doesn't this sound like an intentional leak of deterrence?

It's the use of nuclear weapons against these sites that would be irresponsible.
You're right - the threat of using nukes would be bad enough. The actual use of them would cross a line not crossed since WWII, and unleash god-knows-what.

Very true, but even the threat has implications throughout the middle east.
The Arabs and Persians have long felt it very unfair that the Israelis have been allowed the bomb to hold overtheir heads, but this was always presented as a DEFENSIVE necessity.
The fact that the Israelis are discussing using nuclear weapons offensively will be huge.
