  • Drip. Drip. Drip.

More blood lost in a foreign war of presidential hubris and vanity.

The president talks about honor and glory. That more should die to honor those already dead.

Yet the names of the fallen -- as individual human beings -- are just thown on an annoymous heap under the cover of darkeness, away from the eyes and minds of the America people, in whose name they served. They will, however, be shamelessly used as props by a president hell-bent on feeding his own personal demons.

OK... kinda got away from me at the end. :)

  • The thing that caught me and set this picture apart is the question, "what were the three "airmen" doing?"

They were doing a job in conditions they were probably not trained for to fill out the numbers in the strapped military.

  • They were disarming/dismantling an improvised rocket launcher aimed at Camp Victory. They were trained like all the rest of us, at the same school as all the rest of us. Some days things don't go right despite your best efforts in this job. EOD is just that way.
