Is NBC really more moral than another network on the airwaves? If Imus can be fired, certainly Rush should be fired. I wouldn't fire either, let them show themselves for what they are, racist.

I'm not horribly comfortable discussing all of this because frankly, my sense of offense is seemingly very different from alot of people's.
I read a story this morning on Muslim women in Europe getting Hymenoplasty, resewing their hymens so that they can be virgins again.
I find that as offensive as anything. Not that the women or doctors are doing anything wrong, but in the blatant sexism of the culture that leads them to this and the impact on their self image.
I find that far more disgusting than any comment, but this surgery is also going on here in the US without any discussions of its cultural implications.
So, because I feel way out of the mainstream, I generally stay away from the cultural issue crticism.
But this one is just so Amos 'n' Andy bad.
