  • Yeah. I was struck in these protests at the courage of the protesters.

    Gary Kasparov has noteriety and gets released, but can you imagine being a regular person arrested as an enemy of Putin's Russia?

  • In the US, flashing the US Constitution at a protest is enough to get you put on a watch list and have the Bush admin go through your email and financial records with a secret fine-toothed comb.

    I started writing this as a parody, but by the time I got to the period I wasn't so sure anymore.
