  • "private security contractor": a category of US military foreign affairs operations I find repugnant and antithetical to the spirit of a citizen army.

  • It's a bit of a catchall phrase.

    There's alot of problems and I don't like their expansive roles, but for some tasks they're required.

    Imagine the blowback if US forces directly protected the top Iraqi politicians.

    On the other hand, we're paying 3 times what we should for Green Zone security.
