Picture of the Day - 3

You'd think that a Secretary of State might be useful about now, eh?

  • Secretary of State? What's that? It rings a bell, though...

  • Responsibility for Iraq, Iran, and North Korea has been passed on to lower ranked individuals.

She's supposedly working on Israels/Palestine, but what's really going on there?

  • I don't know. Is Dr. Rice really anything more the Bush's messenger? Can she negotiate? Is she capable of debate... of thinking on her feet... of creative thought? Or is she like a spounge, soaking up information only to simply release it later?

An encyclopedia has a ton of knowledge -- information anyway -- but it will never think on its own or create anything new.

  • She's loyal. That's her qualification.

Besides, she doesn't run foreign policy. That's decided by Cheney with input from Hadley. That' the foreign policy apparatus.

Anyone who really wants to make a deal works through one of them.
