Reading this article on John Bolton's petty book, all I keep thinking is that this is the guy George Bush fought to place at the UN.
More important to history, he also blasts Colin Powell, Condi Rice, and others, but seriously, what sort of "diplomat" pens a rant including multiple, childish slurs like "EAPeasers"?
Bolton lashes out at his opponents in the administration and overseas, repeatedly referring to European Union diplomats as "EUroids" and foes in State's East Asia and Pacific Affairs Bureau as "EAPeasers."

I always thought that sub-cabinet officials were supposed to assist and support the Secretary for whom they work. Bolton more or less admits to doing everything he could to undermine Powell and Rice when *he* thought they were wrong.
In the military this is called "insubordination" and lands you in a lot of trouble, and possibly in prison.
So much for conservative complaints about State Department bureaucrats subverting policy. They think it's peachy when their guy does it.

I've mentioned before that there have been many acts of subversion by the neocon/Cheney crowd that I would think come near treason in this White House.
Because Bolton wasn't just acting against Rice and Powell, he was acting against policies embraced by the President in a time of war.
Maybe a bit melodramatic, but I don't know a way to describe "light" treason.
