My hometown police get unmanned aerial drones

Part of this is the way it's written, but there's no question that the Houston Police Department is looking at buying unmanned drones. The curious thing is why did they go to such lengths to tray and maintain secrecy?

  • Bravo to KPRC for exposing this. The story moves quickly past what I thought was a particular outrage: The police LIED in saying that the FAA had restricted the airspace. Now if you or I said something like that to the police that wasn't true, we would be arrested for making false statements. Meanwhile the cops do it to the press with impunity. Disgusting.
