Clinton attacks;Huckabee only has 5 days from Iowa to NH

Much like the post above, the fact that Clinton is beginning to attack Obama seems to say that "inevitability" may be wobbling.
Asked directly whether she intended to raise questions about Obama's character, she replied: "It's beginning to look a lot like that."

Also, The NYTimes has a piece on Huckabee's problems. No money, no organization, and a very short window to get it all done. 5 days from Iowa to NH, and only a month or so until tsunami Tuesday. Not much time to raise $20+ million and build a national network.

(PS. Let's remember that in the construct of cable news, they will prefer to cover the races as binary and close, even if they're neither.)

  • At one point, early on, I was impressed with Clinton and her seeming fluid knowledge of the current affairs -- both foreign and domestic -- and her command of the stage in the first couple of Dem debates. As time went on, and particularly over the last month (+) I've gone completely cold on her.

What was once the air of confidence has turn into arrogance. The strength I once perceived has crumbled in to a kind of phony victim-hood of being attacked. And her unifying embrace of "we" in talking about the Dem field has turned into the most petty of sniping... far, far beyond the "attacks" about which she herself complained.

  • Not as extreme on either side, but I've followed a similar trajectory. I've actually been watching my opinion with some amusement because as far as I can tell, there's nothing concrete to explain it.

So, am I just responding to something in the coverage or is there something really there?
