Where is Howard Dean?
Watching CNN, one of the commentators made this point: Where is Howard Dean? If his top two contenders are in an increasingly ugly battle about race and racism, shouldn't he be stepping in about now?

He should... but not in front of the press. This is inside politics and Howard Dean's party is best served if he doesn't become a distraction to the insipid media machine.
There is a time for Dean to be the public face of the party. This is not the time.
