  • This must have been very calming... after that whole bovine scratching thing. :)

Obama takes a great candid photo. Very loose. Calm. Comfortable in his own skin. I think career politicians, including Clinton and McCain, somehow fall into the trap of being "on" all the time... It's like a subconscious survival behavior, or something. I'm not trying to be critical, it's just vibe I get.

  • Well, you also gotta assume that my own prejudices color the pictures I put up.

  • Yeah, I thought about that, but it's not just your photos... it's the aggregate of many, many photos from various sources. And not just photos, but video too.

Every candidate has award moments. That's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about the ability to let your "politician" guard down and just be yourself. I think career pols have a hard time doing casual, loose, and not trying too hard to be a normal joe/jane.

It's not a Hillary vs. Barack, thing. It's career pol vs. outsider thing.

    Just a vibe I get.

  • I think you're right.

As example, there's also that godawful "Senate" language that the longer term Senators tend to speak.
