Heavyweight Obama endorsements

Robert Reich endorses Obama. (Another former Clintonista coming out for Obama. He cites negative Pa. ads and general negative tone as his tipping point.)

Obama also picked up the endorsements of foreign policy heavyweights Sam Nunn and David Boren.

Also: (FirstRead) "NBC News has adjusted the pledged delegate count in Ohio, adding one for Obama and subtracting one for Clinton. "

Later: (CNN) Clinton picks up 3 "add-on" superdelegates.

  • Neither Reich nor Richardson were really Clintonian hacks. Reich, especially, was an independent thinker in the cabinet, and I don't think always appreciated by the Clintons. Reich may have be personal friends with the Clintons, but I don't think he was part of their political inner-circle.

Reich is a calm, reasoned and articulate proponent of progressive socio-economic principles. He'd be a good man to have among your advisors. I find him an engaging speaker who's enthusiastic about his subject and almost universally hopeful and upbeat... Very much in the style of Obama... and Clinton, before he got rabies and went all psycho.

(Can you tell I'm a fan?)

  • And, he had been publicly leaning Obama for quite some time.

My thinking is that he's so associated with the Clinton's that it's notable.

  • Liberal Blogosphere’s Loss of Any Legitimacy
First of all, I am a Liberal. Big “L” liberal. Frankly, on domestic issues, I would liken myself to a European Social Democrat. When it comes to international relations/foreign policy, however, I do not believe the lanugage of the US political structure, Liberal/Conservative and Republican/Democrat, has any application. Just wanted to throw that out there to start.

    The Clintonista Post

Also, former New Jersey Governors Jim Florio and Brendan Byrne pledged their support to Hillary Clinton today, after being chosen Thursday as add-on superdelegates. Their show of support comes the same day US Rep. Betty Sutton announced she too would support Clinton as a superdelegate.
