While the lower income and educated classes like a strong "parent" politician, they HATE being patronized are treated as rubes. Hillary has successfully sold herself a the iron-willed mommy who will protect them, but if these people get a sense that she's just using them...
Sure this little YouTube clip has little to do with Hillary directly, but her base really sees her campaign as the Bill and Hillary campaign. I don't know how many times I've heard a Hillary supporter cite Bill or the Clinton presidency as a reason for their support. So they could see this sort of thing as indistinguishable from the current Clinton campaign. It's all one continuum.

I'm pretty incredulous that Kantor actually said what that YouTube clip suggested he said. It doesn't make any sense... The "enemy" to these people was GHWB, not the voters.
But like the countless fantastical internet rumors regarding Obama, this bit of urban legend is out there and will have a viral-like existence of its own. There's only so much the Clinton campaign can do to dampen its impact... whatever impact there is.
Each day seems to be more bizarre and surreal then the one before it. At this rate we'll be talking about alien abductions and satanic rituals by the time this is all over. Again I say, OY!
