  • I saw this picture in this morning's paper and immediately went to the 'puter to find out more. That led me to YOUR BLOG.

You have selected pictures that tell deep stories. Ironic; the men in power positions confronted with "small" people of greater power, be they babies or widows or just plain folks.

I have bookmarked your blog, and will refer to it as often as I used to refer to the writings of William F. Buckley, Jr.

  • She should have slapped his face.

I remember when the father of one of the first soldiers killed in the invasion of Iraq publicly and angrily accused Bush of being responsible for his son's death. Not long after, I heard the man apologized, and never heard more from him since.

I wish more family members reacted with that man's genuine emotions, or Cindy Sheehan's.

  • Thank you, Kernan.

I gotta warn you, though, not all the pictures are that deep. Sometimes they're less meaningful and more snarky.

Really, they're just items that evoke some strong response in me.

    ...

Abi, To me, she looks like she's in shock. Like she's wondering how her life led her here.

  • I was thinking about making a smart assed comment about Condi Rice, and then I thought, "Hmm. Condi? Is she still around?"

The entire Bush/Cheney grip on world influence is falling apart and the secretary of state seems to have fallen off the face of the earth. Weird. Or not, for this regime.

  • I've been trying to decide the balance between she dropped off the earth because the Bush admin lost influence, and vice versa.
