From the Bush campaign to FoxNews to the McCain campaign

You know it goes on, but it's still awful to see it in writing.
As part of a staff shakeup that was announced Tuesday, he brought in a new adviser — Greg Jenkins, a former White House official and Fox News producer — who will oversee the producing and staging of Mr. McCain’s events. Mr. Jenkins is considered an expert at political stagecraft, oversaw many of President Bush’s appearances and served as executive director of the 2004 inaugural committee.

But I'm sure when he was "producing" at FoxNews, he left his politics at the door.... because that's news, right?

  • It's pretty much Tony Snow all over again.

  • Yeah, except because Tony Snow was in front of the camera, everyone knew which programs and which comments were being run by a GOP operative.

This guy could have been the one who ran "Obama's baby momma" for all we know.

  • No amount of staging can change the fact that McCain is clearly lousy at making prepared speeches in front of large crowds. Maybe if they put a pair of juggling bears on either side of him during his speech people will be distracted enough not to listen him, though. But can the bears handle the pressure?

  • Juggling bears for VP!!!!

(I think both Romney and Crist would be willing to don the bear suits if they thought it would get him there.)
