Coup in Mauritania
I know nothing about the politics of Mauritania, but the news of a coup is a little less surprising when this line is included in the story, "The coup in Africa's newest oil producer...."

Yeah, and probably should also add that the former government was trying to go more islamist, so a coup by more secular generals.
