I wonder if the crowds Palin's drawing will really translate into votes. Anecdotally, I think there are a lot of people who feel "Sarah's awesome! She's really nice, but I'm not sure I want her in the White House."

I just think there are a ton of people who aren't news junkies like the readers of this blog who have clue one as to what she's all about.
They probably see a woman and automatically think about Hillary Clinton.
Somehow I doubt many women have figured out where she stands on the issues, especially women's reproductive rights, because I hardly believe her extreme pro-life stance could more than a tiny minority of women to back up.

Actually, I think women are her weakest demographic. She polls much better among men...

EPM, her likability is higher than the McCain support.
And, Jeff, I'm going to back up EPM. She does much better among men than women.
Interestingly, the rough equivalent polling numbers are to "experience."
Men are more likely to support Palin over women, by about the same margin as men who say she's qualified vs. women who say she's qualified.
I thought that was interesting that women were far stronger in judging her experience.
