Picture of the Day - "Body language"

As the McCain "polling surge" has failed to materialize, it might be useful to start watching the "body language" of the McCain campaign

When they know the cameras are on, the candidate will be on, but it's the "off" moments when we will see where they really are.

While the Obama campaign is laughing and shoulder punching....

  • Shakespearian. That's the first thing that comes to mind... Or Greek tragedy. I dunno.

Photographically, I really like the image with Cindy. It speaks a novel's worth. But secondly, it's the first honest, human image of Cindy I can remember. Wonderful image.

  • I don't have any context on that photo, but it is interesting. She's clearly hurting because of him, although it's not clear if it's pain because he's losing or something between them.

    It's a very active picture.

  • The phony smile does not come easily to Cindy.

  • The whole campaign has been a farce. In 2000 it was a real, honest campaign with a lot of heart. Now it's just a hollow shell of Neocon mishmash and hate-filled rallies.

So much compromise, so much effort and there's going to be nothing left if they lose. He will be the butt of jokes for years to come.

Not exactly the legacy an heiress and ex-POW want to have in the common narrative of history.

  • Anon, No, it doesn't. She seems very frail.

    .....

Matt, I supported that McCain 2000 campaign. I know exactly what you're saying.
