Early exit polls

View at your own potential soul crushing risk, but some alleged state by state early exit polls here.

(Caveat: In 2004 what happened was the raw, unadjusted poll data got leaked which substantially over represented Dems. As for this data, who knows? So, beware.)

  • I'm going to stick with PBS starting at 8:00 EST. I don't have the stomach for even peaking at early exit polls.

I voted late today. 6:15 PM with the polls closing at 7:00. No lines. No waiting. I'm a little bummed at what I saw. Did I miss the busy time, or was turn out actually low?

I live in a small town of less than 5,000. A mix of conservative, non-union blue-collar and white-collar commuters. The town trends very conservative, with many of the commuters working at BAE Systems. So maybe the Yankee Republicans weren't moved to get out and vote for McCain/Palin? Dunno. 'Cause our local town elections in March are always well attended.

I'll have to watch the local paper and see what the actual turn out was.

  • Even without the exit polls, take a look at Schmidt's statement above this post.

All the body language stuff says Obama wins.
