Barely over 50% of college GRADUATES believe in evolution...?? And less than 3/4ths of post grads believe in evolution...?? Can this be true? I guess I'm farther out of touch that I already suspected, but this just amazes me.

I read the following comment on one of the releases I saw. It sums up my feelings on the subject (well, some of my feelings!):

it's not about believing in evolution, it's about understanding evolution. It's not a belief. That misunderstanding is half the problem. Educated people almost always understand and uneducated people believe.

marcia, the one caveat is that we don't know all the methodology. Was this stuck inside another survey, how was it framed.....

It's Gallup, so it's pretty good, but, as always take with a little salt.

But I think that marks the success of the anti-evolution effort.

And, let's remember that this is really about biblical literalism. That's the underlying challenge they're fighting off.

And I presume that the some of the graduates are from Oral Roberts, Biola, etc. The are graduates, even if they are graduates of bible colleges.
