I'm glad she's not from my state

Michelle Bachmann goes unbelievably further, talking about the likelihood of Obama creating mandatory child re-education camps as part of the public service program.

She may have just passed Katherine Harris in the crazy stakes.

  • Our only hope is that voters vote these despicable people out of office. But when these people "own" cable "news," and the general dumbing down of corporate media, where does one turn to become truthfully informed?

  • Todd made a good guess that they'll probably redistrict her out of existence if she doesn't lose. Even the state party wants her gone by now.

  • See, I don't mind opposing ideas, it's just that scary-assed crazy that frightens me. Yes, frightens.

  • Agreed. But again, she's probably going away soon.

  • Re-districting is in 2010 here. Bachmann may try to run for Senate, but she hasn't been "playing nice" with the State Party lately, so that could be out.

Even if she doesn't hold elected office, we will most likely continue to see her to Fox News for years to come. She is a reliable source of "crazy" for indolent 'journalists'.

And please don't associate Bachmann with all Minnesotans. She was elected by a narrow margin in one district; the entire state did not elect her. The State Party had to go to extreme lengths to create a district that could elect her.

Personally, I blame the State Democratic Party for running unbelievably weak candidates against her...twice.

  • Todd, I'd love to see her run for the Senate. Then we'd have the complete Katherine Harris.

She'll definitely stay in the circuit. She's pretty much guaranteed that. The right seems to need these outliers hitting the talk shows.

And definitely not a dispersion on all Minnesotans. She's just a whack job, and every state has its very red and very blue districts that will reelect whoever's in the box. We've got a couple in Texas going both ways that elect horrible reps.
