Bible citing gun scopes?

It appears that a significant supplier of gun scopes to the military inscribes each one with a bible verse. I'm sure Jesus would be pleased with the usage.

These fundy christians are just so, so weird.

  • I thought the neocons made a big point about this being WWIV.

We're champions of the white world and now going forth to conquer the rest.

  • isn't it really a sort of witchcraft, this business of inscribing magical language onto an object? creating a talisman, as it were?

  • I dunno, guys.

I just find it really weird the connection of gun and god.

  • Why do you find it "weird?" All great wars have at least a component of "god loves our guns and wants us to kill the enemy." Ask the Taliban -- either the Islamic or Christian version.

Religion is too toxic a narcotic, and shouldn't be administered by humans...

  • I know. It's just from my perspective, the whole thing seems so damn backward.
