Thought for the Day

Saying that climate change doesn't exist because it's cold outside your window right now is roughly akin to looking outside at night and claiming that the sun no longer exists.

And, yet, they get on national TV.

  • Arguing with climate change deniers is like trying to teach calculus to a dog. But it should be pointed out to these people that all this precipitation (including all that damn snow) didn't just appear by magic. It came from once-terrestrial water that's been evaporated by -- wait for it -- increased global warming.

I mean, where do they think the moisture for all that snow came from? And they'll of course be mute this summer when x-number of people die from heat exposure from Chicago to DC...

    *sigh*

  • Alot of them believe the earth is 6,000 years old and that carbon dating is a science conspiracy.

PS. Vancouver is not getting enough cold for the olympics, but the deniers aren't looking out that window.

  • "Global" == "what I can see out my window"

Their world view is very, very small. They may not be aware there's an entire hemisphere south of us. And it's getting hot.
